35,801 people tested Covid-19 positive on Sunday and 29,318 people were cured of the disease. 4,23,514 people are under treatment in the state.
The test positivity rate is 28.88%. 68 people lost their lives taking the total death toll to 5814. 10 places were declared as new hotspots in the state and 2 places were removed from the list of hotspots.
10,94,055 people are under observation in the state on Sunday. Of this 10,62,625 people are under home/ institutional quarantine. 31,430 people are admitted in hospitals.
115 health workers were tested Covid- 19 positive on Sunday. Kannur 36, Kozhikode 13, Thrissur 12, Pathanamthitta and Ernakulam 10 each, Wayanad and Kasargod 7 each, Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad 5 each,Kollam 4, Kottayam and Idukki 3 each are the district wise details of the health workers who are under treatment after turning Covid -19 positive.
