Kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan backed Malayalam super star Prithviraj who is facing attack in the social media over his tweet supporting Lakshadweep.
Chief minister said that Sangh Parivar has an intolerant attitude towards everything and this is seen in Prithviraj’s case also. Pinarayi Vijayan while addressing media persons during his routine evening briefing on Covid-19 said ,” Prithiviraj expressed it in the right way and like him every Keralite must come forward in such matters”.
The actor had in his tweet mentioned that he was receiving desperate messages from several people whom he knew in Lakshadweep against the reforms initiated by the administrator Praful Koda Patel.
Prithviraj whose movie Anarkali was shot in Lakshadweep in 2015 had appealed to the authorities to listen to the voice of the people of Lakshadweep and trust them to know what is better for the land.
He tweeted, “It is one of the most beautiful places on earth with even more beautiful people.”
