Actress and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar tested Covid positive on Monday joining a list of celebrities who had tested positive in the state since the break of New Year.
Khusbhu in a tweet said,” Finally Covid catches up with me after dodging the last two waves. I have just tested positive. I was Covid -19 till yesterday. Have a running nose, did a test, and Voila!. I have isolated myself. Hate being alone. So keep me entertained for the next few days. And get tested if any signs.”
After the New Year break, eight celebrities from the Tamil and Telugu film industry were tested positive. These include Mahesh Babu, Trisha, Vishnu Vishal, Sherin, Satyaraj, Director Priyadarshan, and music director Thaman. On Sunday, actor, and dancer, Shobhana also tested Omicron positive.
Tamil Nadu is reeling under the Covid -19 third wave with the number of fresh cases jumping to 12,985 on Sunday.
