Tamil Nadu state health department said that 13990 fresh Covid cases were reported in the state on Monday. 11 deaths were also reported. Of the total deaths reported 8 were in government hospitals while 3 in private hospitals. The Test positivity rate (TPR) on Monday was 8.7%.
In a statement on Monday, the state public health department said that 62, 767 people were under treatment for Covid -19 pandemic including under home treatment.
The state has a total of 185 Omicron cases as of Monday, January 10, 2022.
