BJP Minority wing calls for ban on SDPI

The Minority wing of the BJP demanded the ban of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political arm of the banned Popular Front of India.

BJP minority wing national secretary, Vellore Syed Ibrahim called upon the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to ban the Social Democratic Party of India.

He was speaking to reporters after visiting the residence of RSS leader, V.K. Rajan  of Salem, whose house was attacked allegedly by SDPI activists using lit Kerosene-laden bottles.  He said that two SDPI activists were arrested following the attack and called upon the government to ban the outfit which is the political arm of the Popular Front of India.

Vellore Syed Ibrahim said that the BJP and RSS were not against the Muslims and charged that the Dalit leader Thol Thirumavalavan of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) and Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman were misguiding the Muslim Youths.

He said that both these leaders were creating a wrong impression among the Muslim youths regarding the recent NIA raids on the Popular Front of India.

The Minority morcha leader said that the DMK government was encouraging VCK and NTK for vote bank politics and said that the DMK should have condemned these two political parties for propagating false information among the Muslim youths.
