The BJP Tamil Nadu unit is in embarrassment after the flying squad of the Election commission arrested its worker ,Satheesh, his brother Navin and their driver Perumal.
The arrest is following the seizure of Rs 4 crore from Tirunelveli bound Nellai express from Tambaram Railway station on Saturday night.
Tambaram Railway Police was also involved in the seizure of unaccounted cash. Police said that the money was in six bags.
Police said that on questioning the arrested has revealed that the money was received from Blue Diamond hotel Chennai.
The money has been deposited in government treasuey on Sunday morning.
DMK has alleged that the money was for the election expenses of BJP leader Nainar Nagendran who is the party candidate for Tirunelveli Lok Sabha constituency.
