Passengers of Air conditioned coaches of Yesvantpur-Kannur Express (Train no 12292) have complained that they were robbed off their valuables while they were asleep.
The passengers in their complaint with the Dharmapuri police station and Railway police
said that the theft occured between Salem and Dharmapuri during early morning hours of Tuesday.
Naufal, a passenger who boarded
the train at Yesvantpur and bound for Kannur said that around twenty persons in three AC coaches have lost their valuables.
Costly mobile phones and purses with money were lost, according to the complaints.
Dharmapuri police officials told BPNS that they received the complaint and has commenced investigation.
