The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai have forecasted a slight drop in temperature in the next few days in Tamil Nadu.
In a statement on Thursday, the RMC said that the maximum temperature will be decreased by 2to 3 degree celsius in the next few days in Southern districts of Tamil Nadu and in some places of Puducherry.
The Regional Meteorological Centre also stated that moderate to light rainfall is likely to occur in southern delta districts of Tamil Nadu from April 11 to April 15th.
The statement said that the rains wull be due to fluctiating wind directions in the upper and lower layers of atmosphere.
The rains and easterly winds that is likely to hit some parts of Tamil Nadu will bring down the temperature in the next few days, according to the weather department.
The RMC in its report said that Chennai is expected to have cloudy skies with a maximum temperature of 35 degree celsius.
However the Meteorological Centre in the statement said that in some interior regions of Tamil Nadu, the temperature is likely to touch 40 degree
celsius.
