While inspecting the lorry, gold was found in boxes and the men in the Car that were following the lorry informed officials that they had all the papers and that the gold was being transported to a firm in Sriperumbudur.

However,Election commission officials found that the documents were not proper and took into custody both the lorry and the car. The lorry and car were taken to Sriperumbudur revenue office and Kancheepuram district revenue authorities and Income Tax officials are measuring the exact value of the seized gold.
