Puducherry Chief Minister, N Rangasamy on Sunday received the first dose of vaccine at his official residence. A team of doctors, nurses, and paramedics from the Department of Health were present during his inoculation,a statement from the Chief minister’s office said.
Puducherry Chief Minister had undergone Covid -19 treatment at a private hospital in Chennai in May shortly after he was sworn in as Chief Minister.
There were major issues after he was admitted in the hospital and the DMK leader and Tamil Nadu state water resources minister, S Duraimurugan having stated that the BJP was trying to capture power in Puducherry with the support of the independents as no other minister had sworn in due to the illness of Rangasamy.
After the recovery of Rangasamy, the other legislators from the AINRC and BJP took their oath of office and was sworn in as ministers.
The budget session of the Puducherry assembly would commence from August 26th.
