Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras retained the position of the top institute in the country in the Ministry of Education’s National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF) which was announced by Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi on Thursday.
Indian Institute of Management(IIM), Ahmedabad retained the position of the best Business institute in the country while Indian Institute of Science(IISC), Bengaluru was adjudged as the best research institution in India.
In the Sixth Edition of the National Institutional Ranking Frame Work (NIRF) which was announced by the Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday, 8 Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) and 2 National Institute of Technologies( NITs) figured in the first ten technical institutions of the country.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences( AIIMS), New Delhi was declared as the best Medical college in the country. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh came second followed by Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore.
Jamia Hamdard was the best institution for Pharmacy studies in the country.
Miranda College, New Delhi is the best college followed by Lady Sri Ram College for Women, New Delhi. Loyola College, Chennai is the third-best among the colleges.
