Actress Avantika Sundar, the elder daughter of veteran actress-politician Khushbu Sundar and filmmaker Sundar C, married Shravan Srinivasan in a lavish wedding ceremony at a luxury resort in Goa, with the event attracting an array of film stars and dignitaries from across the country.
The wedding emerged as one of the biggest celebrity gatherings of the season, bringing together leading personalities from the South Indian film industry, Bollywood and the political sphere. Telugu cinema legends Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Venkatesh Daggubati and Amala Akkineni were among the prominent guests. Actress Trisha Krishnan also attended the celebrations, while Bollywood veterans Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor added to the glamour of the occasion.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, who had been personally invited by Khushbu and Sundar C during a visit to his Chennai residence ahead of the wedding, was unable to attend the ceremony due to official commitments. His absence, however, became a talking point on social media after photographs and videos from the event began circulating online.
Several moments from the celebrations quickly went viral, particularly videos showing Trisha interacting with Chiranjeevi and his wife, as well as group photographs featuring some of the biggest names in South Indian cinema. Fans widely shared the images, making the wedding one of the most talked-about entertainment events in recent days.
Guests largely followed a traditional South Indian dress code, with many arriving in elegant mundus and veshtis, adding a cultural touch to the grand celebrations.
Ahead of the wedding, Khushbu and Sundar C had also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally invite him to the family function.
Khushbu and Sundar C, one of Tamil cinema’s best-known celebrity couples, married in 2000 and have two daughters, Avantika and Anandita. Avantika’s wedding marks a significant milestone for the family and has drawn warm wishes from fans and well-wishers across the country.
