The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha will announce its candidate for the Nilambur by-election within two days, said State President Swami Himaval Maheshwara Bhadrananda in a press statement.
Swami Bhadrananda strongly criticized the BJP’s stand on the by-election, recalling BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s public statement that the Nilambur by-election was unnecessary and that the BJP would not field a candidate.
However, Bhadrananda alleged that the BJP is now preparing to field BDJS — a constituent party of the NDA — in Nilambur. “If so, Rajeev Chandrasekhar must explain the reasoning behind such a decision to the people,” Bhadrananda demanded.
He further accused Rajeev Chandrasekhar of lacking interest in understanding the suffering and challenges faced by Hindus in Malappuram.
“He has neither the will to study the horrifying history that his own state endured, nor the courage to fight for dharma,” Bhadrananda said.
Swami Bhadrananda went on to make deeply controversial and provocative references to the 1921 Moplah Rebellion, describing it as one of the most brutal massacres of Hindus in Indian history.
He recounted disturbing accounts from the rebellion — including the killing of pregnant Hindu women, mass murders, and forced conversions — and said these atrocities would never be forgotten by “true Hindus” or by the Hindu Mahasabha.
He claimed that around 50,000 Hindus were killed and more than 2,000 families forcibly converted during the 1921 rebellion — a period which has been “whitewashed” in Indian history books and falsely portrayed as part of the freedom struggle.
Bhadrananda urged Rajeev Chandrasekhar to study the Moplah Rebellion properly, even if only through the writings of leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Annie Besant, and K. Madhavan Nair, who reportedly recorded the “unpleasant truths” of that era.
“Had he understood the dark chapter of Malappuram’s past, the state BJP would not have ignored Nilambur,” Bhadrananda stated, calling Nilambur the only Hindu-majority region in Malappuram district.
He further attacked the BJP leadership, accusing it of moral cowardice. “Instead of standing by Hindus, the current BJP leadership is chasing after radical Islamists.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar should learn from leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who have had the courage to speak the truth,” he said.
Swami Bhadrananda alleged that Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s reluctance to contest the by-election is driven by personal political insecurity — fearing loss of minority votes, diminished authority, or even being moved out of his position to a gubernatorial role.
He accused the BJP of transforming from the Bharatiya Janata Party into a “Bheera Janata Party” (Coward’s Party) and finally into a “Business Janata Party.”
He concluded by saying that true kings, as per dharma, are those who are fearless, speak the truth, and are willing to lay down their lives for the safety and dignity of their people.
“The BJP may have money and power today, but it lacks the will and courage to fight for Hindus,” he said, declaring that this is precisely why the
Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has decided to contest the Nilambur by-election — to proudly raise the voice and sentiments of Hindus before the nation.
