Congress candidate dies of Covid 19

Congress candidate from Srivilliputhur assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu , PSW Madhava Rao died of Covid related ailments on Sunday morning.

Rao was undergoing treatment at a private hospital and on Saturday he was shifted to ICU of the same hospital after his condition deteriorated and on Sunday morning he breathed his last.

Madhava Rao was a senior leader of the Congress party and was the Tamil Nadu state Vice president of the Youth Congress and was an advocate by profession. He was also a legal consultant. The deceased leader was also an office bearer of the student body of the party ,National Students Union(NSU) in his earlier days.

Rao hails from Watrap in Virudhanagar district of Tamil Nadu and this was his first contest to an assembly seat in Tamil Nadu.

Sanjay Dutt, AICC secretary in charge of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry expressed his grief and condolences at the passing away of Madhava Rao.

In a tweeter message the senior Congress leader said “Deeply pained at the death of Madhava Rao. Myself and Congress party stand by the family of the departed leader at this time of grief.”
