Zoho contributes 5 crore to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public relief fund

Internationally reputed technology company, Zoho corporation has donated Rs 5  crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief minister’s Public relief fund  for Covid -19 care.

The co-founder of the company Kumar Vembu handed over the cheque for Rs 5 Crore to the Chief minister MK Stalin on Thursday at the latters office.

The company is also providing oxygen supplies and medical equipment worth 13 crore to various private and public hospitals supporting patients from the economically weaker sections. The company is planning to scale this to the rest of the country.

Zoho corporation has also opened a care facility at its Estancia campus in Chennai for employees and their families, vaccination drives .The company has also opened community kitchens for rural districts around Chennai.

The software company has also distributed 150 HFNC’s (High Flow Nasal Cannula) to various hospitals across the state.  Eighty CPAP (Continous positive airway pressure) machines have been distributed to Rajiv Gandhi government hospital and 300 beds have been procured to be distributed to Stanley medical college and Kumbakonam government hospital.

The company is serving 30,000 meals per day in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli and Gudalur and plans to scale this upto 1 lakh meals per day. The initiative will be expanded to Namakkal, Salem and Coimbatore.

The company is also supporting various NGOs who are distributing food kits to Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.
