Velu, or Finance minister PTR Thiagarajan.

Former minister and senior leader of DMK, Pon Muthuramalingam has thrown his weight behind his daughter-in-law, Vijaya Moushami. Sources in DMK told IANS that the former minister is trying to convince the Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin for the coveted post.

Rohini Bomma Thevan and Vasuki Sasikumar are wives of close aides of state taxes minister, E.V. Velu while Indrani Pon Vasanth’s family is close to powerful finance minister PTR Thiagarajan.

DMK sources told IANS that the chances of Indrani getting the nod are higher as PTR Thiagarajan is enjoying a special rapport with the Chief Minister given his performance as the finance minister.
