TN Governor, CM condoles death of Mulayam Singh

Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi, Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, and other senior leaders condoled the passing away of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Governor R.N. Ravi in his condolence message said, “ Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav was a great leader. His passing away has left a political vacuum in the country. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin in a tweet said, “ One of the tallest figures in Indian Politics who stood for the reservation for OBC, Thiru Mulayam Singh Yadav was deeply committed to secular ideals. His death is an irreparable loss.”

Stalin also said that DMK parliamentary party leader and party treasurer, T. R . Baalu would pay the last respects to Mulayam Singh Yadav on behalf of the DMK.

Leader of opposition and AIADMK interim general secretary, Edappadi K. Palaniswami in his condolence message via tweeter said, “His remarkable contribution to the state and as a parliamentarian will be remembered forever.”

Deposed leader of the AIADMK and former Chief Minister, O. Panneerselvam in his condolence message said, “ In the death of Samajwadi Party founder and Uttar Pradesh’s former Chief Minister, the country has lost a person who had untiringly served the society.”

He also remembered the warm relations that late Chief Minister, J. Jayalalithaa shared with Mulayam Singh Yadav and in the condolence message said that not only Jayalalithaa had campaigned for Mulayam and Samajwadi party in the 2007 elections but also delivered speeches in Hindi.

The former interim general secretary and aide of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, V.K. Sasikala in a series of tweets mentioned the relationship shared with Mulayam Singh Yadav and said that he had spoken about the trouble faced during the Emergency days.

BJP Tamil Nadu state president, K. Annamalai in a condolence message said, “ He will forever be remembered as an excellent statesman and a leader who put people’s welfare at the forefront.”
