Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is one of the star campaigners of the BJP will reach Tamil Nadu on Friday for a two-day visit. He will attend four road shows and one public meeting during his two-day visit to the state.
There were reports that Amit Shah had cancelled his earlier scheduled visit to Tamil Nadu last week due to adverse intelligence reports on the winning chances of NDA candidates. The DMK leadership had also targeted the BJP on public platforms on the cancellation of his visit.
The Union Home Minister will land at Madurai airport on Friday afternoon and will travel to Kariakudi for the electioneering of T.Dhevanathan Yadav, BJP candidate for Sivaganga Lok Sabha constituency.
After the roadshow at Sivaganga, Amit Shah will visit the Thirumayam temple in Pudukottai district and will return to Madurai. The senior BJP leader will attend a road show of the BJP candidate for Madurai Lok Sabha seat, Raama Sreenivasan. Amit Shah will offer prayers at the famous Madurai Meenakshi Sundaranar temple after the roadshow.
On Saturday morning the Union Home Minister will travel to Kanniyakumari to attend a road show of BJP candidate and former Union Minister, Pon Radhakrishnan.
After the roadshow, Amit Shah will travel to Thiruvarur and address a public meeting for the election campaign of the BJP candidate, for Nagapattinam Lok Sabha candidate, SGM Ramesh.
The senior BJP leader will fly to Thoothukudi and from there he will reach Tenkasi by road. Amit Shah will attend a road show of the BJP candidate, B.John Pandian.
He will wind up the two-day visit and return to New Delhi.
