DMK ,Congress handed over Katchatheevu island to a foreign nation, PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi charged that the DMK connived with the Congress and handed over the Katchatheevu island to a foreign nation and kept the matter in the dark from the people of Tamil Nadu for several decades.

He said that this was now brought in the open by the BJP and added that tihis issue has caused major difficulties for the fishermen of Tamil Nadu.

Narendra Modi was addressing a massive election rally at Ambasamudram grounds in Tirunelveli on Monday.

Modi charged that drugs have become common place in Tamil Nadu and added that people of Tamil Nadu clearly knows who was protecting this drug mafia.

The Prime Minister said that the people of Tamil Nadu must give a fitting response to those who were protecting the drug mafia through the ballot.

Narendra Modi said that the BJP manifesto which was released on Tamil New Year day focussed on promoting Tamil -the oldest language in the world.

He said that Thiruvalluvar culture centres would be set up across the globe to promote Tamil culture and make the world familiar with the rich culture and legacy of Tamil Nadu.

Modi charged that the DMK and Congress were opposed to Tamil symbols and culture and pointed out the opposition raised by these parties against Chengol and Jellikattu which are part of the rich Tamil culture and tradition.

He called upon the people of Tamil Nadu not to forget those who do not pay respects to the culture and tradition of Tamil Nadu.

Narendra Modi said that the central government has sanctioned Vande Bharat express from Tirunelveli to Chennai and this has eased the travel. Prime Minister also said that Bullet Trains will also be sanctioned for south India by the next government.

Prime Minister said that the poll pundits sitting in Delhi were surprised at the blessings and love showered by mothers and sisters of Tamil Nadu.

He said that his government had given 1.25 crore Jal Jeevan mission water connections ,40 lakh gas connections, 57 lakh toilet connections for the people of Tamil Nadu and this endeared him to the mothers and sisters of Tamil Nadu.

Modi said that Tamil heroes like Veera Pandya Kattabomman ,Rani Velu Nachiyar ,Maruthu brothers and Muthuramalinga Thevar were national heroes.

Prime Minister said that freedom fighter, V.O.Chidambram Pillai is an inspiration for him and added that he had taught the pelople on self reliance.

Narendra Modi said that K.Kamaraj who was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was an upright leader and added that the DMK and Congress were even insulting the legacy of the great leader.

Prime Minister said that the BJP was taking forward the legacy of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu , MG Ramachandran(MGR). He said that the DMK was constantly attacking the legacy of MGR and Jayalalithaa and added thatnthe people of Tamil Nadu must never forget how Amma Jayalalithaa was insulted by the DMK in the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly.

He said that he was working for a Viksit Tamil Nadu along with a Viksit Bharat and charged that the
DMK and Congress were opposing all developments to state.

Modi said,“ You have voted for DMK and Congress in several elections but you vote for the BJP this timr and see the difference. ”

Prime Minister said,“ I am thinking 24X7 about developed Bharat in 2047 and I want that development to happen and Tamil Nadu should not be left behind in this development. ”

Acknowledging the crowd and the reception of the people, Prime Minister said, “ I feel that this is a victory meet and not an election meet. ”

Prime Minister introduced the BJP candidates for Lok Sabha seats to the public and said that he wanted these leaders to be elected and work with him in New Delhi in the next government.

Nainar Nagendran (Tirunelveli), Raadhika Sarath Kumar (Virudhunagar) ,John Pandyan ( Tenkasi), Pon Radhakrishnan( Kanniyakumari), Vijayaseelan (Thoothukudi ) and Vilavancode assembly candidate, MS Nandini were introduced to the public by the Prime Minister.
