National Literacy Programme:  TN to educate 5 lakh people

Tamil Nadu minister for school education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has said that the state would educate 5 lakh people under the National Literacy programme. He said that in the previous year the state educated 3.15 lakh people under the programme and even overcame the set target of 3.10 lakh people. He said that the target for this year was 4.8 lakh and that he was confident of overcoming the target and touching the 5 lakh mark.

TN to constitute ICC in schools to prevent sex abuse of children

The Tamil Nadu school education department will soon be constituting Internal Complaints Committees(ICC) to prevent sexual abuse of school children.
