Chennai, March 17 (BPNS)

Odyssey technologies, a Chennai-based company has released a new product ‘xorkeesign G2C’ that helps users to digitally sign Income Tax returns and GST for all classes of assessees including corporate taxpayers.

The product also helps register the digital certificates of company executives with the MCA portal.

‘xorkeesign G2C’, according to the company is a browser extension that stays invincible until a user assesses the Income Tax, GST, or MCA portals and then helps the user sign their returns with no additional tool requirements.

The company claims that the process of preparation of returns is isolated from signing/ e- verifying. The consultant may prepare the return and the assessee can sign remotely from wherever he is.

This browser extension allows signing in from mobile devices which was not applicable earlier, the company said.

B. Robert Raja, Managing Director, Odyssey Technologies said, “ The ease of use alone justifies using xorkeesign G2C in place of the default mechanisms. I am told that users find the xorkeesign G2C simpler and faster than even the Aadhaar OTP based e-verification.  As GST returns are due every month this would save significant time for all taxpayers and consultants. “

He said that owing to the largely unnecessary complexities of the digital signature process, users generally hand over their DSCs to their consultants and get them to affix the signature on their behalf.

Robert Raja said that the company expects Chartered Accountants, Tax Consultants,  Corporate Tax Departments, MSMEs, and individual assesses benefit from switching to xorkeesign G2C. He said that the company was offering free usage for tax sites till December 31, 2022.

He also said that the company has plans to extend the usage of xorkeesign G2C to cover all Government interfaces like EPF, Trademarks registry,  DGFT, and Customs. The company Managing Director said that when more services are rolled out it would be the biggest key system in the world.
