The Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique-India (HCCD-India) celebrated Consular Day 2024 at the ITC Grand Chola in Chennai. The event was graced by the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Shri Thiru. R. N Ravi. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was felicitated and conferred with the prestigious Medal of Honor. This award is a symbol of recognition for individuals who have exhibited outstanding leadership and service serving as Honorary Consul.
Established in 1995, the Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique-India (HCCD-India) aims to promote and strengthen mutual understanding among Honorary Consular officers in India and abroad. Through the exchange of information, ideas, and suggestions, HCCD-India endeavours to enhance the role of Honorary Consul General and Honorary Consuls in international relations.
The Consular Day celebration at the ITC Grand Chola brought together a distinguished gathering representing the country’s elite and international fraternity. The event served as a platform to acknowledge and applaud the vital contributions of honorary consuls in advancing diplomatic relations, cultural exchanges, and economic cooperation between nations.
